Our Growth and Operations
Founded in January of this year, we have already:
- Recruited over 400 members
- Gathered almost 3,000 signatures on community campaigns
- Established a strong presence on Facebook and are building audiences on TikTok, Instagram, X, and Nextdoor to reach all ages and demographics
Due to a shortfall of volunteers, we currently employ the services of Ferry & Yates Group for certain administrative and online and management functions. We aim to bring all operations fully in-house within the next year, further strengthening our independence and community-driven approach.

Just Launched – The Community Times
We are proud to introduce The Community Times, our newly launched news section that serves as a voice for change and a platform for local stories.
In a modern world where the feeling of community is often lost, The Community Times restores connection, highlighting good work, positive initiatives, and the people who make a difference. Residents can:
- Discover local heroes and inspiring community projects
- Stay updated on safety alerts, campaigns, and services from Police Scotland, NHS Scotland, Scottish Fire & Rescue, and more
- Follow ongoing campaigns such as Ending Knife Crime and Disability Rights and Inclusion
- Engage in discussions and share experiences that strengthen communities
Why this is needed: Many stories of good work and community achievements go unnoticed. The Community Times ensures that residents are informed, celebrated, and empowered to take part in positive change.
Connecting Communities and Combating Loneliness
In today’s digital age, many residents face isolation and loneliness, with studies showing that over one in four adults in Scotland report feeling lonely regularly, and younger and older age groups are particularly affected. Online platforms can help people stay connected, but without meaningful local engagement, the sense of community is often lost. The Community Impact Project and The Community Times aim to bridge this gap by featuring local events, stories, and reports that bring people together, highlight positive achievements, and create real-world connections. By reporting on initiatives, celebrating local heroes, and investigating issues that affect residents, we seek to restore a sense of belonging, strengthen local networks, and combat isolation.
